Arboretum Detroit Tour: Discover the non-profit planting Giant Sequoias and expanding the tree canopy in the city of Detroit August 16, 2025 Saturday - 9am

*This tour is not sponsored by Northville Parks and Recreation. Carpools are recommended for transportation. Spaces for this tour are limited. Please meet in the parking lot behind Northville Community Center at 9am. We depart at 9:15am.

Arboretum Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and maintaining in perpetuity an internationally recognized arboretum spanning the city of Detroit and inspiring visitors with the love and stewardship of trees. In addition, among its many initiatives, this organization is partnering with Archangel Ancient Tree Archive and Poletown East residents to create a Giant Sequoia Forest in Detroit. We will tour this destination and see first-hand what they have accomplished, and what they hope for the future for the canopy of our community.

Dress accordingly for weather and an outdoor environment.
